Lament; to express sorrow, mourning or regret.

Webster’s definition, been reading the book of Lamentations, poetry written to express the demise of a nation, relaying her transgressions, speaking directly to what led to their suffering. So often we reflect our ability to be faithful or love onto God, when it is He who has spent all of mans existence trying to reflect His love and faithfulness on us. We are His children, His created love, He is Love. This book can bring about the expression of Lament in all of us, our sorrow brought on by our pulling away from God, our non belief in the work of the Cross resulting in regret. And our as yet unidentified mourning. Coming from the deep desire in us for Him, the desire He placed there; dig deep, pray, He will open that door for us to enter.
