Webster’s defines steadfast as: immovable, firmly fixed in place. The Psalmists use the term “steadfast love”, when referring to God’s love. Psalm 6:4 “ Turn, O Lord, deliver my life; save me for the sake of your steadfast love”. Psalm 36:7 “How precious is your steadfast love, O God ! The children of mankind take refuge in the shadow of your wings”. We who believe, live inside of His steadfast love, an unbreakable bond from Him. 1Kings 8:23, last half,” keeping covenant and showing steadfast love to your servants who walk before you with all their heart”. There is an assurance in this description of His love for us, we find in Romans 8:38-39 how we can never be separated from His love. So as we bask in His love, May He fill us with a love for Him that is “steadfast”, that we may live today in the reward to come.
